Drum and Bugle Corps > Marching Bands. Both are full of awesome.

Heck yeah.

What about the guys doing all that fancy rhythmic stuff with the bayoneted rifles?

sbxx1985 12-26-12 10:40 PM

Other things that rule. Toddler 9.

Got a Christmas card from Peg. That was very nice of her.

What's her story?

Are you a drummer or a bugler?

rjones28 12-26-12 10:54 PM

Just went on Benson's evening walk. We get some wicked snow drifts up here on the hill.

I've been wearing a surgical compression sock on that lower leg ever since (even while cycling). So this is post-thrombitic syndrome, but not really such a bad case as these conditions go. And that condition can continue to improve for years after a DVT clears up; I think mine is doing that. What precipitated the DVT in the first place appears to have been a rare side effect to some other meds I was taking at the time, and it has not recurred. Like I said weight loss will help, and I am losing weight. I have been cycling daily since my release from the hospital 18 months ago except for 10+ weeks off the bike late this year due to a couple of other minor but hard to treat health issues.

Your concern is duly noted, you now have earned 10 valuable Pcad Brownie PointsŪ.

I drive my doctor nuts these days as they have me on different meds and have changed things, but I think she adds 10 extra minutes to the appointment as I grill her on side effects. Because my hr stays low most of the time the have me on stuff for blood pressure and one of the side efects of one drug was "dry hacking cough", which I got. But that's not blood clots. That's scary stuff.

Didn't we have this conversation the last time coasting posted a video of Tennessee's marching band?

The nature of meds. 100 patients take *****moitorin. 98 feel better. 1 gets nausea and vomiting. 1 drops friggin dead. I looked it up later, this side effect was reported, but it was like 1 in 1000. So it goes.

Take it from Uncle Rowan here, it will work.

Any contact you maintain will only have you self-doubting and second-guessing yourself. Yyou'll never break free from beating yourself up all the time.

Cut all the ties. Unfriend, delete the phone numbers and put an ignore option on her email addresses (yeah, I know, you've got more than one or two of them). Resolve to turn around and walk away when you see her, and don't for the love of God, go shadowing her or ask your mutual friends what she is doing; it's none of your business anymore.

Another little tip, too. Until you have broken the ties, you'll be useless as a dater with other chicks. They'll see right through you in an instant...

I know you are a little late to the party. All of this has been done before. Hell, about a year, and a half after HS she just showed up in my driveway. We had zero contact, I didn't even have a cell phone until after HS, and yet she just showed up. I had also changed phone numbers a few times, but then we would randomly run into each other. It's really messed up. This last time she ran into me at my local Chipotle. I was there with my mom, and she pointed her out. I avoided eye contact, and told my mother to do the same, but she saw me, and came up to me, and started talking. She ended up sitting with my mom, and I talking as we ate. A few weeks later the txts, and phone calls started heavy again. Eventually leading into this.

I feel like I could never get rid of her. She would always eventually cross my path again. I could move to Colorado, change all my numbers, block emails, delete her as a FB friend again, start my life completely over, and somehow some way she would end up on my doorstep.

Good advise uncle Rowan.

In addition to that, it's time for Solo to take up MTB riding and to build a weight weenie mtb from the ground up. Start tomorrow. Post photos and weights of parts as you go.

To finance the MTB sell me the Insight.

I do want to build a MTB, especially with this current snow on the ground. It of course would be a WW build as well. I'm not selling the Insight anytime soon however. The freedom that comes with owning that car is amazing. I could technically drive to NYC on one tank of fuel, and it's only a 10g tank. I do have a Specialzed Ruby women's frameset that I could sell to help finance an MTB build.

I suggest you take some fukitol. Best stuff ever. It even has its own website!

I got up early for a quick 1 hour run. It was snowing during much of the run. Very serene and peaceful.

I did not see a single soul on the trail the entire run...I wonder why??

BTW my running still sucks, but improving. In the past 6 months I have gone from approx 8:45/mile to approx 8:00/mile "cruising" pace. Nothing amazing but I might be approaching the running equivalent of a fred. Anyone know the term??

the cheerleader? excellent idea! best one you've had in a while in fact. I approve.

Umm... he's still taking the time to notice that she likes his pictures, which indicates that he's still "friends" with her... which means that the whole deal about "I've tried to cut things off with her in the past" is all BS. They are a perfect codependent dysfunctional couple and are likely to have a lifetime of drama ahead of them.

No I really did cut all ties in the past. I didn't this time, because it never works anyway. When you put it like you did in that last sentence. It's obvious to me, I must finish, and send the letter. It will be the only thing really that could end this cycle once, and for all. Anyway here is the pic of Bentley in question.

Oh no. you were on ace inhibitors too? I was on ramipril for a year coughing every 10 mins. My GP always said let the cardiologist decide on what drugs i shoud be on but i saw him once a year.

When you "cover" for her, you are enabling her behavior. If I saw my ex sitting down to eat with my mother, I'd sit down and say: "Hey... did you tell mom about the other guy you were screwing, and that's why we're not together anymore?" She's not your friend. No friend is deceitful like that and then sits down to a friendly dinner like nothing ever happened.

Cute doggy! Built like a greyhound with an afro.
