Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dura Ace 7900 BB on a CAAD 9 frame...

the Dura Ace crankset on my CAAD is getting a little tattered and I've thought about putting a carbon crankset on ....which manufacturers carbon sets can go on that BB?

much appreciated...

Shimano. There are some race face and SRAM that have 24mm spindle cranks that MAY work, but I would stick with Shimano.

Bikes: See sig.

7900 crankset (al arms) = 625g
SRAM Red crankset (C arms) = 586g

Looks like you save 40g in exchange for possibly more fragile crank arms. I would stay with the DA crank. Cranksets appear to be one area, like stems, where moving to carbon does not result in significant weight loss.

Agree ^ shimano cranks are ugly but they work very well.

Either crank set should be nice on the 9, personally I would choose the SRAM Red for my 10 4, JMHO, YMMV.
