Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Litespeed Teramo??

OK, thinking about upgrading to this ride. Any owners out there? Please give some feedback on this bike. I tested it last night and it fit well and felt great. The retail on this 2005 model is $2795 I think, and the LBS said he would go to $2600, and I think I can get him to $2500. The one I'm looking at has full Ultegra 9-speed triple with the Kysrium Equippe wheels. I've looked online and around town for a 2004 but can't seem to find one in M/L. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks.

My wife got a Teramo when I got my Calfee. It was her first performance bike. She's been riding great on it and hasn't had any complaints. We did Glendora Mountain Road (8 mile climb) a couple weeks ago. I couldn't believe how well she climbed!

I wanted to get an Ultegra bike for her and the owner of my LBS recommended the Teramo as a good fit for her at a good price point. We changed the seat (comfy girly seat) and seatpost (carbon fiber) as well as the handlebars (different size). I'll never forget how happy she was when we brought it home!

It was an '04. So, it was a good deal. I don't remember the price . . . . we spent a bunch of money that weekend on bikes and bike stuff. Last I saw there was still an '04 in his shop. I'm not sure where you're located. The shop is "Two Wheeler Dealer" in Brea, CA [(714)671-1730]. Tim and Sam are great!
