1/16 intervals - 243, 252, 247, 250, 247 watts
2/28 intervals - 295, 291, 296, 290, 300 watts

20% increase across the board not bad!

Coming back to form pretty quickly, eh?

I'm only on my third week of TR, but I'm seeing good gains. I'm sure that it's partly shaking off the winter and partly learning how to test; this is the first time that I've done any structured training. It's interesting to me - having numbers to test limits and get a feel for the fine line between what hurts and going to make you blow up.

Another reminder of the idiots I share the roads with.

I think part of the problem is that when we think of cycling injury rates we are thinking about that number with respect to cyclists like ourselves. The real number obviously entails everyone riding a bike, serious cyclist or local drunk without a drivers license. It would be cool if we could get the numbers or risks in that group of cyclists like ourselves.

Which one are we?

I agree. I found several localized "studies", but they all seemed like they were written by and analyzed by people who have never ridden a bike. The 24% alcohol thing gets mentioned. But then there are the stupid #'s: 10% involve cyclist riding with traffic hit from behind, 35% riding against traffic, 50% "at intersections", balance "other". Well, intersections occur in both directions, and driveways are considered intersections. Never any information on the "at intersections" as to root cause. I assume the alcohol influenced riders ride against traffic, but who knows. At 24%, they are a large enough group to taint any pool. It is useless information.

If I grow these in the back yard, will the donuts be vegan?

Legs are coming back, unfortunately the fat isn't going anywhere.

According to one hearsay post I read, the driver got the pedals confused, or something. #Facepalm

No I do not. It is truely suicidal to drive here. Crazy is normal on the roads here. I don't know if I'll be here long enough to make it worthwhile to get a licence and risk being on the roads.
