had an '02 buenos aires which i really enjoyed but didn't care at all for the logos/graphics on the line in the last few years.
hopefully greg will come up with a dynamite paint/graphics scheme for this new round.

I think it's a good thing. Good luck to him.

I agree with Walter, Chris and the others that said that Greg returning to bike mfgr and sales is a good thing. I felt like he got a raw deal the last time around. His engineering people did a good job on the trainer they have out, now a good bicycle from him will be welcomed by me.

Love it:
"For more than a decade LeMond was in the public eye as a critic of Lance Armstrong, and that criticism was central to his messy divorce from Trek. Armstrong's more recent sanctioning and confession to doping reduced LeMond's personal stress at the same time it changed the public's perception of him."We are in a much better place in terms of what I want to do, now," he said."

Neato. He's a complicated guy, but a good one I think.
I'd buy a LeMond. I'm one of those folk who see their purchases as a political act, and I favour companies that conduct themselves in an ethical fashion.

I am too, and I mentioned in my comments on the Lemond site last week (or maybe it was the week before) that regardless of the material, I'd pay a premium for a US-made frame. I don't know if there are enough people like us, but I like the idea of supporting a craftsman instead of contributing to Chinese slave labor and a state brazenly indifferent to human rights.

Just within the past 2-3 weeks, I bought and sold a Gary Fisher road bike. It was a 2009 model and all my research suggested that it was a leftover LeMond frame that Trek/Bontrager rebadged after the split with Greg. Pretty nice bike - but the MTB brand name was odd.

I'm all for greater competition and more choices for consumer. As far as LeMond himself, the guy is nuts. He blows up with people, has several interviews where he's incoherent, ran into legal issues with Trek and others because of emotional matters, and even this quote from the link above is indicative of his problems
His "personal stress" is reduced so now he can open a business?
But I hope he succeeds because we all benefit as buyers
