Why do handlebar makers even bother to put effort into graphics and decal design for their handlebars when all the hard work is going to be masked by bar tape**********

This occurred to me today, or should I say yesterday at my LBS when I noticed these were on clearance:

I was very close to pulling out my wallet for them when that thought clicked in my mind. Doesn't mean that I won't get them for a nice piece to have on the coffee table though my next lunch break if they're still there considering I already snagged the stem just today. :lol:

ZIPP is also guilty of this too among others. My wife recently upgraded her bars to vukas which have the full ZIPP "speed weaponry" decals as found on their wheels on the ergonomic tops because they're higher end; only for them to be covered up by tape and butt ugly "Z" decals showing near the clamp.

Still frameset shopping. Looking at the Argon 18 Gallium and the Focus Izalco Pro right now. I was looking at the Derosa Merak Evolution but think I have decided to pass on that one.

There are way too many nice bikes out there these days.

LC, I know it is probably not in the same league as the frames you are looking at, but I am partial to the 2013 Cinelli Saetta in matte black. I would post an image, but I stink at it.
