I've worked out why I see so many lycra clad roadies, complete with mean race face, on the mup. It's a link and fastest way to get from the northern edge of town and the southern. Both ends have good climbing terrain. Maybe I should check out the ends and not just the mup.

This evening on my short connector I came up behind a woman with a dog with one of those long leashes. She was walking no more than 1/3 of the way over from the left side and her leash/dog was stretched out all the way outside the right edge. I said/yelled "on your left" four times as I approached her, and she didn't react at all. Finally I just decided to go through anyway and squeezed past her on the left edge. I don't know if she was listening to music (she had a hood on), or what her deal was, but that kind of behaviour is very annoying. |
South of Macon and I didn't see pecans at the truckstop. Then again it was kind of a dumpy place. We've been playing "low fuel light roulette" the whole way with the added excitement of not every gas station has deisel.

You MUP riders need to take mr. ts with you. He's the least patient person I've ever met, he hates mupping, and he yells "on your left" or "approaching" so loud, the North Shore Nancy's actually jump off the path.

6"+ of snow on the ground here, and it does look like the light snow won't be out of here much before noon, if not later than that. And it did stick to the roads pretty good.
