Maybe I'll set myself a goal like these 'other guys' do?

"When I reach my target weight of 220lbs ( down from 265 ), I'm going to buy myself the C50 with Lightweight wheels and full Campy Record I've always wanted."

Actually, I think I saw a couple of those on Monday, 'cept they were riding Kennedy's for some unknown reason.

Whatever happened to the good old Regina chains and clusters that lasted well over 10000km? Damn I miss them.

Sacman, you might need to send some of your triflow to Thylacine when he gets his new chain and cluster. He might get 5000km from the next one with a bit of lube :)

:)

I don't change my chains until they start rattling, and/or they're stretched so
much that they drag along the road.

3000kms from a Dura-Ace chain ain't enough

I saw this show Aussi...My wife is a former medico and she reckons this kid is going to have serious problems as he grows, or in his case doesn't grow. Apparently increasing muscle strength to that degree will prevent his bones from growing to their true potential, so is very likely he's gunna be a short @ss. Also, kid's brains develop past their teens and to have so much of his blood flow going to his muscles will be depriving his brain of nutrients needed for intellectual/emotional growth...he's likely to be one f*cked up adult.

Yeah, very strange.

I dunno about the steroid allegations (or 'suggestions'), I reckon he might just be a freak.
Although he was very "cut" and toned, he didn't really have any size.
His most freakish body part is his abs, and even in all his toddler photos he had a "six-pack."

yeah saw it....I'm happy with them so far.......still fiddling with the 'float'...I seem to get more movement at the same settings than my old 357's...I'm not sure that this is a bad thing....just a little disconcerting sometimes.....overall I'm pleased with them, though.......another good article on the 'Look' frames underneath this one

That 585 frame is awesome.

Did you see the bloke on ebay selling a 57cm Litespeed Vortex? I think it's still around $2000 (frame only) mint condition....

the thought police are working overtime.

I think the best feature of the Keos is the little doover in the middle of the cleat that allows you to change cleats without having to attempt to put them back in the same position using a texta.
As for the Look frames, they do nothing for me really, but you know how I feel about carbon :). Geometry is totally wrong for me too, which doesn't help. Keos look great though, probably my first choice when I step up. Any problems with squeeking of the cheat/pedal interface?

When I was going to get some chow last night in Flemington, there was a guy on a Look with Ksyriums at the lights who looked at me funny. Was that you Hitcho?

T'weren't moi......the Keo 'positioning' thingo only works if you have the shoes to accomodate it. I think most 'post' 04 shoes will, but it doesn't work with my Sidi Genuis 4's (03)...so back to the texta!.....there is no squeek in the interface anymore. This is cos the bits that 'touch' are now 'carbon & plastic' against the old 'Alu & plastic'....a major improvement!....as i said, i'm happy with mine so far.....you need to think about your seat height though if you are a traditional 'look' rider, cos they have a lower 'stack height'. the only other draw back is if you wanna ride multiple bikes.....cos keo cleats aren't compatible with existing 'Look' pedals....

Thylacine 11-24-04 04:41 PM

I was considering some new Sidis too ( Love the fit of my Dominator Mega MTB shoes - the same as your shoes except they have a lugged sole ) but they're horribly overpriced. I can get them for 200 which is cool, but at retail ( 350 ), you think Sidi would put a carbon sole on them by now. Heck, the 2nd top-of-the-line Nikes RETAIL for 200 and have a carbon sole. Pretty neat looking shoe I might add, despite Nike being the Anti-Christ.
