Be farked no more pies!!!

But yeah, it could be something crazy like that. Or I might be a whinging pusssy. I'll see if it goes away when I get fitter, and if it doesn't I'll come back and whinge some more. :D

([edit] be buggered pusssy is a bad word? What happens if I want to tell you lot about my cat?)

I was gettin similar sort of pains but they turned out to be little tears. Age caught up with my not so supple body as I asked it to do more than it was capable of. They went away after a few months, and they weren't all that annoying really.

My old hernia caused more pain because of all the food I was going through (still am!!). Poor old gizzards couldn't handle the pressure, and let me know big time. I fixed that problem by spreading the load over even more time, so now I eat virtually non-stop but only little bits at a time.

Climbo there's a group ride leaving Turramurra Cyclery at 6:30am and heading for Ettalong by 9:30 this Sunday. They're a hard-core bunch of riders who like attacking on the hills but it's relaxed on the flat and intermediate sections. Go here if you're interested http://www.turramurracyclery.com.au/...=11&idb=Sunday. I have no idea what's planned for me this weekend, but I'm gonna try to fit it in if I can.

Actually, now I've remembered how to use my brain, I remember I tweaked them bowling at cricket a few weeks back. I depress myself how poorly my brain works sometimes. :(

Looks good, but I'll be in QLD this weekend, I might tag along to one of these in 2005 also. Not really ready to hit a hilly 120km ride with the hardcores either !! Not a bad route, if only I could figure out how to get there without my car and I could ride home when they get to Ettalong. Looks like they have some nice rides/routes going on Sunday's though.

Ok, I need some mindless chit-chat. I find that it's a good way to wake up for someone like me who doesn't have to rush off to work :p

Hmmmm...let's see......oh yeah: I only found out yesterday that you can buy
the little plastic caps for the top of Shimano STI levers. My (cheap) LBS sells the
Dura-Ace caps for $26 each!!

By the way, I bought those 9 spd Dura-Ace levers for $480

Looks like there's too many of us stuck at work to chit-chat with you 531.

Does anyone here know where I might be able to find a cheap set of rollers? I really can't afford much, and there doesn't seem to be any second hand ones in classifieds anywhere.

I always check Cecil Walker first for prices.

Are you into mail ordering? :p

Yeah, I looked at those. The best price I've seen for new rollers. I didn't really want to spend so much at the moment. I guess I'll just have to save

I guy on the muso forum (it's a fukn teen scene.....sh1t) was asking for pumpin' tips, so I got him onto to the bodybuilding forum.

What the hell is "AAS", or "ASS" on the bodybuilders forum? I take it it has something to do with 'roids.

Jesus!! 17!!! Chest? Got the tape measure in the top draw like we all used to? :p

Wanna hear my laughable "peak"?

Warrick's 15"
chest 42"
waist 30"
Legs 25"

what a fukn joke.

After being on a plateau for 8 years, I more or less gave up :D
Man, I tried everything short of drugs: heavy & low, light & high, descending sets, different splits, all that Mentzer pre-exhaustion stuff....and I couldn't eat 30g of protein every 3 hours without eating too much and getting fat.

Tape measure in the sock drawer. My neck and arms are nearly the same circumference. If you're training hard enough and sleeping enough....pile in more food. That'll kickstart some growth fo shizzle, my nizzle. :D :D

Read this massive sticky from bb.com (it's OK....no pawn...gotta play by the rules!! :D)

I love it when Ric produces the links to studies

There really are some idiots out there. cycling seems to attract people with fringe theories on most aspects of life for some reason.....when all it is is a sport. If I'm faster than you, I win. That's all it is.

531Aussie 12-13-04 08:33 PM

Thanks. Any bit in particular?

Slightly different, but I'd say "pumping" is worse in the way that the dudes with the
favourable genetics do ANY CRAZY CRAP in the gym, grow like crazy, and therefore
conclude that whatever they do should be endoctrinated. So, many dodgey theories
are born. I lived it! I worked in gyms for 5 years, and all the young guys would ignore
me (because I was only 80kg) and do whatever the big guys told them, no matter how
back-breaking it was.

Agree 100%. You see some crazy sh1t in gyms....people seem to leave common sense at the door with their bag. I find kids who work out in a little group together suffer a lot from peer pressure into doing what everyone else is, rather than following their own program. I always work out alone.....I couldn't think of anything worse than trying to keep up a conversation (even with a mate) while also triying to psyche up for a set or lift.
i-Pod gets a run regularly....it's as good as having "Piss orf!" pinned to your shirt!! :) (Hitchy excluded...)
