I'd best bite my tongue, except to say that in all my life (living in Newcastle) I have never seen it spelt that way. But then again, you are a westy :P

PaulBravey 02-07-05 05:30 PM

Indeed they are. Many a schoolyard battle has been had over an arbitrary (and mobile, might I add!) geographical line that separates those within reach of the beach from those who rely on air conditioners.

Bluddy 'ell! You can all far cough. From now on I'll just say Lambton. I'm blaming Maccas, Nickelodeon's "sarvo", the Salvos, servos and garbos for the fact that none of youse can agree on how anything is spelt.

You spelt 'bloody' incorrectly

Brian 02-07-05 05:41 PM

Indeed yes, but you fogot to include the mandatory road bike content, so I will have to dock you 5 marks.

Brian 02-07-05 05:48 PM

Next time we go riding on the road, I'll repeat my comment. By the way, I'm certainly within reach of the beach from here, and hate A/C.

It must be a slow day at the beeb (and at work), the Sydney fire service made the news:

Yeah they're trying to lynch some poor git because he used a fire truck for non-fire related purposes, just as thousands before hime have. It's not unusual to see multiple appliances pull up to a park so that all the firies can have a game of touch footy or down at Macca's. But someone decided that this poor bugger needed to be dragged over the coals. In all likelihood he'll get the sack.

PaulBravey 02-07-05 06:48 PM

Some politician must have got involved so they'll probably decide to have a crack down, make an example of the poor sod and then everything (but the bloke who lost his job) will be back to normal in a few months.

"I knew it would be controversial, but I kind of just did it... I needed it, and wanted it."

All class.

climbo 02-07-05 08:02 PM

plenty of talk about this on the road racing board, but yep, number one idiot of the year so far ! Should hit him right in the pocket to remove it, more than it cost to get no doubt !!

Hey you Melbournites. Just looking online for gear. What's fitzroycycles.com.au like? Would you buy from them?

Ed used to work there, I think.

Fitzroy Cycles in Carnegie seems to be a little cheaper than the Fitzroy shop, for some reason.

What are you looking to buy?
