YES. I have the 2.5mm in black and it is super grippy even when wet, not too thick or squishy and yet comfy. pair it with some good gel gloves and you will be golden.

I haven't yet tried Lizard Skins bartape.
However, I got this stuff from Performance for my recent build. So far, it's the best tape I've used. I think it's their answer to Lizard Skins.

I've generally used Cinelli but got Fi'zi:k for free with a Fi'zi:k Aliante Saddle a couple of years back and finally got around to wrapping it a couple of weeks ago. So far, feels good, just enough padding, and looks good. And, yes, a love the saddle.

My number one for ever was Fizik Microtex. Decided to try Lizard Skins. I REALLY like the texture, SUPER grippy. It's just too thick for me, I'm going to try the 1.8 Race stuff next time around, I'm pretty sure it will be perfect. If it isn't, back to microtex for me.

I've been using Lizard Skins for the last 2 years and I am satisfied with it.
I changed from white to black, I had a hard time keeping the white looking respectable. I have over 6,500 miles on the black, and it is still in great shape.

I like the 2mm version of Fizik Microtex, particularly in the suede black. Very durable and grippy. Also relatively easy to wrap cleanly.

Love the Lizard Skin DSP2.5. I understand they have some that is slightly thicker but that may be thicker than I would care for. I used to have Felts gel tape and it was ok but not as nice as the Lizard Skin. It has enough cushion and grip but I cannot comment on longevity.

Brooks: very nice, thick, looks good, hard to wrap/is thick.
Cinelli: squishy and easy to wrap, thin.
Salsa: inbetween the above in terms of use & wear. Hardier than the Cinelli but not as thick as the Brooks.
For me, I liked the middle ground the best.

Had LizardSkins DSP, and it was nice, but wore quickly, and damaged easily, for a product that cost double or more what normal tape costs, gave up on it.
Have used several other of the suggestions above, Fizik is nice, and a lot cheaper than DSP, Deda, Pro-lite, all work well. Have got some Prologo for the next wrap, feels nice in the packet.
