Fuji SST vs Tarmac SL3?
I have read on the tarmac a bit but I was curious what your thoughts are on the two bikes.
2011 Tarmac SL3 w/ DA7900 @$2100 or 2011 Fuji SST2.0 w/ Sram Red @1750
Please don't recommend a CAAD10!

No bad bikes in the group. Pick based on looks and budget. Give them a ride, and bring your own wheels to take that out of the equation.
I have two SSTs and love them. I'm sure I'd be just as happy with a Tarmac.

Moving this to the road forum. You'll get more responses there. You should start be adding more info, though. What you're going to use it for, what you want out of a bike, etc. If you do end up racing, any bike in working mechanical order will suit you.

dear tavish - you should keep riding your caad 7, 8, & 10, you don't need another bike until you get your cat2.
If you really, really want to spend money, get some better wheels. However, in your case I'd ride the stuff you have until HSP decides to start giving you stuff for free.

... do you have any preference between SRAM and Shimano? I mean, you haven't given any thoughts on the bikes, why you narrowed it down to these two...
And yes, the correct answer is "CAAD-10, in whatever flavor you prefer and can afford".

To be slightly more helpful, I'd say both of those are really killer bikes. I'd happily ride either of them.
Check your fit coords as the Tarmac runs a slightly longer TT than the SST for each given size.
Honestly though, your collection of Cannondales will be more than enough to get you to your cat2. Once you get there, you'll have people making your choices easy by giving you frames. Your results won't get any better if you get a carbon bike, and you'll have less money to get housing/food/coaching.
Having money to go to more races (Hood/Cascade/Elkhorn/Gila/White Rock/etc) will make you a MUCH better racer, as will having a more balanced diet (know who I am yet? , and getting a coach near the end of this race season will be another big step in your ability to get results.
Even if you "only" spend 1500 on a new bike, that would fund you getting to multiple national-visibility races, or 6-7 months with a good coach.
Hope your season keeps going well.

Buy them both, swap the groups, keep the Tarmac SRAM Red, sell the Fuji DA.

I don't believe in mixing transmission brands in a bike stable. So if you don't already have SRAM or don't want to convert fully to it, I say stay away from it. (Notwithstanding it is all I have ridden on my last five bikes.) It is very addictive. OTH Fuji provides very high value for money in bike finish and equipment. But if you are a Shimano guy and plan to stay that way, sounds like the Tarmac. And IAN's advice above could be played either way, to have Tarmac with Red or Fuji with DA. Very interesting!
