My photography is mostly of the kids and their school's sporting events. It's a great release and helps to create tremendous memories for the kids and families. Here are a few shots:

I'm a serious amateur and have been for nearly 40 years. I've been mostly using Canon DSLRs for the past five years - currently have a 50D, 40D, and a Rebel (forget the model #). I often take a small Canon Digital Elph with me for rides in the country, when I don't want to rely on my iPhone. BUT, I bought a Fujifilm X100 in December and fell in love. Then they announced the X100s in January, which fixed the few minor flaws of the X100, so I preordered from Amazon and got it last week. Killer camera. I'm thinking of selling my Canons and going to an all-Fuji system by getting an XE-1 and X-Pro 1 to supplement my X100s (the X100s has a fixed 35mm lens; the other two use interchangeable lenses). I'll post a pic or two taken with the X100 tomorrow.

I love photography but can't begin to justify the expense of nice equipment. I have a selection of 3 cameras depending on the situation.
When traveling by car is use a Canon SX20 (almost point and shoot)
Although not in use as much anymore ... I love being able carry a camera in my pocket. Canon SD630. I use it with an underwater kit as well.
But by far the most versatile camera is my Blackberry 9780. If I could afford a new phone, it would be the new BB Z10.

I was a little obsessed for a while, and used to carry my gear with me everywhere. Now my son uses it more then I do.

I'm currently using a Canon t2i with a cannon 18-135mm lens. I had a a sigma 10-20mm UW lens which was really nice but I didn't use it enough to justify keeping. I'd love to invest into a nice 50mm 1.4 or even 1.2, but again most of my funds go towards my bike. Maybe someday.
I love watching DigitalRev reviews on youtube. Great reviews and I learn a lot from them.

I use a Canon 5D m3 and my favorite lens for it is a 24 mm f/1.4 L m2, which probably weighs more than my frameset. So it has never been on a bike ride with me. Great for night shots, though, and I'll share a few since you asked. I also use a 135 mm f/2 and a 300 mm f/4; I have a 50 mm f/1.4 as well, but I already told you about that one. I'm lusting after an 85 mm f/1.2, I've used one and it's spectacular.

I like photography too and sometimes I got a photo-job on the side. I started with b/w film and the lab in my bathroom, but somehow ended with FF camera and few lenses. I always want one more lens.
I cannot take my camera with me on my rides, I think my photo bag is heavier than my bike.
My favorite subjects are my kids, but I also like vivid colors, square format and absolutely useless pictures I take just for fun:

My photography has taken a hiatus in 2012/2013. I used to be an avid amateur photographer who made a buck or two on occasion with it. I shoot a Canon 7D and a Canon 1Ds and mainly do landscape photography, although I'm pretty eclectic with my subjects. My primary lenses are Canon 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8 IS, 85mm f/1.8, 100mm f/2.8 macro, 400mm f/5.6, 28-200 for serious work and an EFs 18-200mm for vacation shots and times when I don't want to carry more than one lens.
My Flickr
I really need to get active with photography again.

I use a standard Canon 50D with a scope and a tracking equatorial mount to take some deep space photography.
Of course I also take the more typical shots with my 50mm 1.4, 100mm 2.8, and wide angle.

Looks like you gave that last one a little HDR but the center clouds look untouched - did you do the whole frame or blend some in? It looks good.

That last shot was mucked about with to make a desktop wallpaper. I don't think I did HDR for that shot (altho it does look like it), but I certainly played with curves, did a high pass, and added a vignette. I usually try not to molest the photos too much, but the odd one here or there gets a treatment like that.
I did HDR the heck outta this one tho when I went to Hawaii.

Ah, photography, my other expensive but neglected hobby. This is the photo that caused me to discover BikeForums:
Taken with my Olympus E-1 back in 2004. When I posted it on DPReview in 2005, someone there said I should post it on BikeForums. The rest is...
Unfortunately, I don't have many opportunities to photograph races these days. This is from Elite Track Nationals in 2012:
I was working sponges for most of the evening. I was done when the match sprint finals started. That was the only shot that I really liked. I shot it with my Olympus E-3.
This is one of my favorite bike racing photos:
Another one from my E-3. I love Horner's expression. This was from the 2010 Tour of California. My wife and I were course marshals but I was able to get a few shots while yelling at people to stay off the course.
We have wild parrots in our city and we have an apple tree in our front yard. The parrots enjoy the apples:
Shot a number of years ago with my E-1.
I got started in photography in the late 1960s when I was a kid because it was my Dad's hobby. However, it meshed well with my passion for motorsports. These days I rarely have time to go to races and even when I go, most grandstands don't offer much in the way of photo opportunities. Back in 2006, I took a day off to go watch Friday practice at the Long Beach Grand Prix. I found a spot above turn 8 and stood there for about 4 hours:
David Donohue or Darren Law, Graham Rahal in an Atlantic car, and Sebastian Bourdais in happier times (respectively). All shot with my E-1. I guess that's enough for now.
I am very interested in seeing how that camera works with my "legacy" 4/3rds lenses. Of course, rumors abound about the possibility or non-possibility of an E-7.

Don't get a Canon 50/1.4 unless (1) you really love 50 mm, (2) you need a f/1.4 at this focal length, and (3) you're going to baby it. Canon's 50/1.4 is prone to failure in the focus motor. Mine has become a manual focus only lens because of a very slight knock, and thousands of people share my pain. Also, on FF anyway, 50 mm is a pretty boring FL.
For biketography, I bring a pocket-sized Sony with a 24 mm lens. The thing is indestructible, it's fallen out of my pocket riding the bike at 20+ mph, again rappelling down a cliff, and this weekend I lost it hiking in deep snow, only to find it an hour and a half later, in a creek. Still works.
One more:
