That stinks.

Son's new Giro helmet. Instead of Thomas, he chose CK.

Hope it heals quick, LAJ.

New bearings are in and are good, but the NDS crank arm wobble that I mentioned the other day is still around. Looking at it very closely, I can see that it's actually the failure of the bond between the carbon arm and the metal piece that receives the spindle, so no amount of tightening will make it go away... I'm going to put the original Gossamer POS on there for now. I'll see if I can find a spare NDS arm, but what I'm seeing right now is that I could probably get a whole new crankset for not much more.

:(

The whole idea of playing a lot of open mics is that by the time you actually land a paying gig, you have crashed and burned so frequently in such a wide range of situations and venues, that nothing would possibly ever phase you. The key to losing stage fright is the utter and complete subversion of ego to persistent humiliation. Once the Self-Loathing hits a certain threshold, there's nothing left, and you're good to go.

You haven't been heckled yet. Your self loathing hasn't peaked until that happens.

Or, just being up front enough times that you get used to it.

What do you know, Portland does have a decent-looking bridge.

I always considered airborne tomatoes and eggs to be the peak.

Don't you just feel like a special trip to the next gig?

:D

And, you are closer... you can take my shots!

Yes, and the overripe tomato season is almost upon us too.

Just saw this ad on the Tour de France telecast. I think it's quite nifty:

What I've learned today from Phil and Paul
1) carbon fiber wheels are stiff
2) eating is important to maintain energy.

These guys are just a treasure trove of knowledge
