Pics will be posted as I go. Should be epic. If anyone is interested, the races are usually streamed. The Sunday crit is very interesting since there is a hill (Crybaby hill) that, while very short, hits 17%

I'll have both cameras with me for lots of pics

I didn't know you were in Tulsa. I visited a friend there in December of '11 and latched on with a group for a ride. Had a great time. Do you know a rider named "Lucky"?

Pretty girl. Better start shotgun shopping, give yourself time to find a good one.

I'm an hour away form Tulsa, so I rarely do group rides there. I do not think I know Lucky.

Not surprised. There are a LOT of riders in Tulsa, at least compared to my small city. It's kind of cool that you can ride by the river on a Saturday morning and find multiple group rides at all different levels.

That sucks. Even with the ankle wrapped with a mild pressure dressing (to prevent swelling and venous pooling)??

I'll give it a week and see if my doc can I can figure something out. I see him a week from today. Gotta keep it in perspective. This ankle will heel. Being Velo Vol is a chronic and incurable malaise.

Given you live in shaky town does this doctor you're always talking about actually have a license to practice medicine. Not trying to be funny but these doctors you go to don't seem to be the brightest bulbs in the batch. I mean when I go to the doctor they fix me and that's it. Done. Last 3 years I've had two torn meniscus, three face cancers , a hernia,a torn distal tendon and a fractured wrist....all fixed correctly the first time....Just seems odd...

Reminds me of this recent encounter, a crow trying to harass a Red-tailed Hawk . . . emphasis on "trying". Supremely confident, the hawk couldn't possibly have been less concerned.

After about a half hour of that, crow finally gave up.

This doc is @ Good Samaritan in Rockland, that's 25 miles closer to Manhattan. Ultimately if I wind up considering surgery for this, it will be a vascular surgeon who practices out of NY City and one of the hospitals in Bergen County (NJ), they tend to be top notch. Venous stasis ulcers/wounds are notoriously tough to treat. Still, the IF (Imbecile Factor) is disturbingly high for the specialists in Orange County. You'd think that will eventually get better, they just built a large $500 million state of the art regional medical center 20 minutes from here in Middletown (Orange Regional), and we're right on the outer edge of the NY Metro area, hell, half the people who live here commute to NY City or places like Bergen County NJ or Westchester County, NY (my wife works for a major shipping company in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, about 40 minutes south of here, Walenius & Wilhelmsen, they ship autos like Volvos and Nissans and heavy equipment all over the world0.

My knee guy is down in Bergen County (he used to be the guy who operated on all the pro athletes around here) and for anything more serious (like any kind of surgery) I wouldn't go up here. The fact that this wound treatment center in Cornwall turned out to have an idiot doctor kind of sucks, but there it is. He really was a bit of a jerk. But you can get than anywhere. I think the guy I have now knows what he's doing, but that this condition isn't easy to figure out, and it does take a long time.
