those levers and spike bolts... yikes.
we've been reasonably happy with the cheap chinese aluminum clutch levers we've been getting. makes up a little for the $300 brembo master cylinder and brake lever.

that hotbodies sticker is not stock either. i'm not sure why they're there... those look like the oem plastics.

Trucky knows her stuff....:thumb:

I believe it has a hotbodies undertail and windscreen. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if the owner of this bike never even owned a helmet. He certainly liked the cheap cosmetic upgrades. The stickers will be coming off.

So, former Addiction member from way back Wens and another guy from Ohio are coming in tonight to stay at the RUOkie household for a weekend of racing at TulsaTough Since it won't be as hot as usual, and the courses should be dry (3 day omnium) I'm expecting some good racing. Pics will be posted as I go. Should be epic. If anyone is interested, the races are usually streamed. The Sunday crit is very interesting since there is a hill (Crybaby hill) that, while very short, hits 17%

I'll have both cameras with me for lots of pics

BillyD 06-06-13 05:56 AM

Outstanding.

LAJ 06-06-13 06:01 AM

Very cool RUOkie. It was very nice of you to offer your place up for those interested in doing that race.

Time to batten down the hatches... the first storm band is coming through.

Make up your mind man! Perhaps you would prefer pics of tasty dishes or flower arrangements?

Let's see you on a pedal bike. Or do you just build them to look at?

If so, that's one of the BEST-EVER shots I've seen of bicycle in action.

Even if not real, it's still one of the BEST-EVER shots I've seen.

Sure beats the Pcad poster-boy picture.

It's a real picture... but not really me. And I agree... that's one of the best action cycling shots ever. I wonder if he was able to stay upright after the picture was taken.

Good luck with that. I heard them talking about lots of rain, but fortunately no mention of wind.

The rain is really coming down... wind isn't too bad... gusts are only in the low 30's. But a couple tornadoes have popped up in the area. That's the real danger from this one.

der. i didn't even look at the windscreen. i've only ever used their bodywork. i like oem windscreens better because the plastic is a little more pliable and holds up a little better in a crash.

speaking of, when i still worked in an office, i ordered a set from them for my 600RR. the box showed up at the office and it was about 5' tall and had huge "HOTBODIES" logo on the sides, complete with the girl silhouette for the "i". that led to some confusion and hilarity when the receptionist didn't bother looking at who it was addressed to and just made an announcement that whomever ordered the hot body, it had arrived and was sitting by the front desk.

she was similarly perplexed when i ordered a set of tires and they just showed up as tires with shipping labels stuck to them.

I wear sunblock, when the top is down. Close enough.

First thing my wife said when she saw the bike was "that sticker has to go". I told her that it was for body parts and also an RC car company. I don't think she cares. :D

I'm not a big fan of "sponsorship" type stickers when you aren't sponsored so I knew the stickers weren't staying before I even bought the bike. I will most likely remove the R6s sticker as well, probably just leave the Yamaha sticker.

I usually go with double bubble windscreens but this one seems to be pretty nice. I haven't had it on the interstate yet though, I'll make my final decision after my next ride.

Do you have a source to get fairing bolts cheap? Those spikes are driving me nuts.

Just came back from a short ride and have to get ready for work.

I went over two covered bridges, I snapped an iPhone pic of one while on the roll...
