Do teams of Mexican workers do the roof work there, as they do here?

the crew just dropped off the dumpster and materials and left to finish a different job. i didn't pay much attention to the ethnic makeup of the workers, although i think maybe one of them was of some sort of hispanic background.

How often do y'all get up at dawn to start your ride?

I think in Taiwan it is the best time, since the midday sun is a bit much. Yet I have failed to wake up early enough each time. Wish me luck for tomorrow.

I don't like to do much at dawn.

In my recent absence from BF posting, I did occasionally take a peek. I saw some pics of Herbie in a race. He looks really fast!

i should maybe re-think working at home today.

In the BF lurve soap opera, I have a new scene to add. Another set-up is in the works. I hate these, but how can you say no? She might be nice.

FIFY. Mexicans seem to be the dominant latino/hispanic nationality in the upper mid-west, but I've run in to quite a few others. I think we need more Dominicans. Or at least more Dominican food joints.

Do you find folks stomping over your head and banging the roof with hammers distracting?

Knoxville got hammered by hail during the tornado outbreak. I think 1/3 of the roofs got replaced in one year (at least on the west side). We had teams of Hispanics come in from where ever they come from. It was rare to see a white guy on a roof.

Doing the jobs Americans won't do.

Gotta say, working on a roof during a summer afternoon doesn't look all that appealing.

I find pneumatic drills are the worst. If you want to annoy a neighbour, buy a drill. Or get some musical friends together and have a jam session.
