Strava ride flagged?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Strava ride flagged?

Just got a garmin 510 a week ago..

Anyway I decided to try take the KOM on the short but pretty tough climb that leads to my house (dead ends, only about 50 houses up the hill) because there's only 13 people on the board and it seemed possible. Did a short/fast ride and on the way back home really pushed it on the climb and took the KOM by 4 seconds.

Only took a couple hours and the ride was flagged. I even had my power meter on so it would be pretty tough to fake it, but does Strava automatically do it or was it the other guy that got all upset?

Just thought it was funny since I'm a normal slow guy I just thought I'd have some fun, but it seems like this Strava is serious business.

So just keep on gunning for it and catch the culprit one day. That person will keep on trying.

Post the said segment.

You can resolve the anonymous flag. If you select "The activity is fine, trust me" the flag will be dismissed. If the activity is flagged a second time, this option to dismiss the flag will not be available, and choosing one of the other options is suggested. Or you can do the ride again with a better time.

People that do the challenges on Strava get flagged all the time. I like to read all the discussions and listen
to people whine and cry because they only ride 10 miles a day and then flag the guys that ride 100+ a day.

Great effort on the KOM mate - you did it, you know you did it (so does the whinger) so nobody can take your effort away anyway. Clearly, the 'flagger' is a sook.

cheers

Like I said just the short hill on the way to my place and I figured what the hell, I can do that. Was kind of funny to see it flagged.

Thanks. Yeah I did that "The activity is fine, trust me" and it went away. I can always go back and get a better time, just kind of weird the guy would get mad enough over nothing to flag it.

That's one pathetic twerp, worrying about his KOM on a 1/2 mile 7% hill. Makes one wonder how badly he'd get smoked by a pro up his toy hill.

Find all the rides up that hill and add a comment with a link to this thread.

Next time I am back, need to see how much Scotts Valley has changed.

213 feet of climbing in 1/2 mile? That's like bragging about my 10 yard dash time.

I flagged a Strava segment that was:

1. On a MUP - give me a break.

2. Went through a total of four stop signs and intersections.
