Getting Shimano shoes custom fitted at store other than where purchased

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Getting Shimano shoes custom fitted at store other than where purchased

I don't intend this to be another "should I support my LBS" thread, but it does relate to LBS curtesy. My wife bought me some Shimano SH-315 shoes for my birthday. She told me that she purchased them on line (I assume she peeked at internet history - I've been doing a lot of internet window shopping). They feel great as is, but I'd like to get them custom fitted. Do you think it reasonable to ask a local shop to do it, obviously for a reasonable fee. If you do, what do you think a reasonable fee would be to perform this service.

we charge 50 dollars to take care of that at our shop. Never had anyone complain, but thats our market.

We not longer sell the shoes, but still have the ovens and what not.
