What Specialized is this?

The owner doesn't know the year or model of this bike-http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/bik/3876268415.html. Anyone know what it is?

Bah Humbug 06-17-13 05:00 PM

No idea, but if you put a space between the hyphen and URL, people will be able to click on it. Just sayin'.

Mr. Pedal 06-17-13 06:08 PM

Oh sorry about that. Here it is:

old Allez

Looks Like an early '90s Allez Comp, I can't tell from the photos is it 8-sp? maybe a '93?

SmellTheSmug 06-17-13 08:19 PM

Sure looks like an old Allez Comp. I've got a 2003 CrMo Allez Comp. Mine is still a very nice steel bike.

match bike and color

Mr. Pedal 06-18-13 12:09 AM

I still haven't found one with that color. I searched bikepedia, but they don't have colors listed for the early 90s, nor do they have pics.

It is an older Allez, aluminum model. It is a 90's model for sure, I used to sell those in the shop I worked in back then, wish I could remember exactly which year that is. Appears to have RSX shifters which I think were all 7 speed, with a 105 derailleur.

Thank you so much. Do you feel that $150 is a good price for it?

ct-vt-trekker 06-19-13 10:47 AM

$150 sounds good to me. Last year I sold an older Allez , it wasn't a comp and it had down tube shirfters and RSX parts for either $125 or $150 I can't remember exactly. This one has better components and STi brifters
