All this chatter about expensive bikes what about a limit imposed by the bike gods that you can only ride a bike costing under $1,000.00 could you go on as a happy camper?
What would you get?
What would you get?

OP, what exactly is wrong with you? Where does it hurt? Please ask the real question that is on your mind, whatever it is. You keep asking these leading questions that suggest you feel guilty about spending money on nice bikes and hardly cover up your self doubt. It is not about how we feel about riding expensive bikes. Apparently it is how you feel about it. What's your problem?

Yeah, troll post for sure but I'll bite.
My road bike is $650. Has never limited me and I could easily ride it till the end of my days without it ever limiting me. Dead honest.

I've never owned a bike over $1000. I'd like to, and hope to one day save up enough to, but if word came down that I was to be stuck under the k forever, It'd never stop me riding.

Not in the least have you hit a nerve. I'm not in the least offended. The question is why do you think these ridiculous questions (all of a kind) are fun. I concede it might not be what I said. It may just be trolling. I don't know which is worse.

If people didn't start light hearted threads then you bike nerds wouldn't have a platform to fight in. Just have fun, why is that so hard??

This is my ghetto-bike, I use it for: racing, commuting, "pharmaceutical work", and yolo purposes. With my new wheelset, I dropped about 500-550 grams from the overall weight of the bike, allowing me to store about $27,500 of "cotton candy" in my hidden satchel (saddle bag). That's if I'm dealing with lower end flour, with higher end stuff, I am able to carry a couple G's more.

Actually, I'd only be able to ride my BD CX bike.
Which if you told me I could only have one bike, would likely be my choice.

Id buy a used bike on ebay. Im sure I could find a something awesome for a grand just a few years old. Or buy a frame and piecemeal it w/ pre-loved components.

Some sort of used steel bike with decent components. I wouldn't like it though; I really like my Rivendells.
