Need new cassette for my old bianchi
My cassette is in really bad shape. I have no idea what kind of cassette i need to get to replace it. I have an 80's Bianchi sport ss. It has shimano components (105's or Golden arrow) I should probably get a new chain as well. Any help?

Your best bet is probably going to a bike shop. It's probably a freewheel, and needs a specific tool to take it off and replace it. The chain is easy, it's a common part.

I'd suggest you post a picture of it in the C&V section of the forums. There are some good folks there with experience with older Bianchi's. Someone probably has a good idea of exactly what you need and the cheapest place to get it. Someone else's idea of going to a bike shop is probably the best idea, however. Getting the job done right by a professional is sometimes cheaper in the long run (and usually safer) than doing it yourself several times.

When you say "10 speed," do you mean it has five cogs in the back and two chainrings in front, or that it has ten cogs in back?
Savagewolf's suggestion about posting this question to the Classic and Vintage (C&V) subforum is a good one.

Take off the wheel and take a closeup picture of the cassette/freewheel.

Not a lot of bike shops carry a decent selection of freewheels. Your best bet is to buy on eBay or an online shop like universal cycles & take the parts & bike to have them installed, if you don't have the tools.

Yep. Also freewheels are readily available online from a variety of sources incl. Amazon. Uni-glide, well you're mainly out of luck and it might be new wheel time.
Also it might be new wheel time in any case. Have you overhauled the rear wheel? I'd do that first just to be certain that the wheel is worth keeping.
