Question about rule #20
It seems to me that if I shift forward, my legs are more bent & quads work more.
Shift back, legs straighter, more hamstrings. Now I have valve caps and a seat bag, so pretty out of it, but what do you think? |
oh my god...........:crash:

I think you need to pay attention to rule V.

If you shift forward, raise the saddle to maintain leg extension. This is what's done on TT setups. Using a seat bag is defensible, valve caps and stem nuts are not.

I'm emulating this guy now.

...you'll pry my stem nuts and valve caps from my cold dead fingers.

When in doubt, always refer back to Rule #5 .

*sigh*
Maybe this belongs in training/nutrition. "If you shift forward, raise the saddle to maintain leg extension. This is what's done on TT setups. Using a seat bag is defensible, valve caps and stem nuts are not." Stopping to adjust your saddle height during the ride has got to violate rule #something , unless you have one of those new road dropper posts anyway... |
