Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They have 6 degrees of float. I don't think it's adjustable though, so it is what it is.

I've yet to fall from simply forgetting to unclip. I have unclipped on my right only to have the bike shift to the left and I have made emergency stops that I did not have time to unclip for, but I've never simply forgotten to unclip.

Well, I adjusted the cleat a bit, I got on the bike, pedaled backwards while paying attention to my knee, and it felt like I was "tensioning" towards the inside at bit...so I lessened the angle between cleat and centerline and moved it outboard a smidge...

I got back on and it felt, well, I felt nothing, which is better than what I felt before, so, I gotta get out for a relaxed ride and see. Left knee is great...

The "unclip right/lean too far left" move is a classic.

Been there, done that. It usually only hurts your pride, though.
