Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The 2014 paint schemes look awful, blacked out or a funky red, white, and blue patriotic look.

I went with the black simply because I think Cannondale has terrible colorways. You can always swap the hoods, tape, saddle, skewers etc for little dashes of colors.

I like the black bike, but I'll pass on the silver chanrings. I dont get that. A splash of color on the black is even better.

A friend of mine was just given a black one, and I love the way the finish looks.

I'm still lusting over a gulf racing team livery CAAD10.

2012 was the best year to buy a CAAD10 if you're more interested in appearances.

Me too! I have a 2011, and when I saw the Gulf colors I was tempted to go buy a new one. I resisted...still have my 2011.

I ride a size 56 as well. I don't need any other angry SO's after me though, I recently got some angry looks from a friends spouse after he purchased an EVO. I think he got a great deal on it, but she isn't liking me much these days.

Hey just get it, tell the SO it's mine, and you're just keeping it at your house

I'm assuming you're asking about the year. Otherwise google image up "gulf GT40 or gulf porshe".

The 2011/2012 have the most modest/ visually balanced decals; perfect and pleasing to spectators and rider from every angle.
As for 2013 onwards, I have no idea why cdale decided to add an additional obnoxiously large "10" on the top tube which makes the bike look tacky and cheap.
~~No offense to your guys with newer models, it's the frameset itself that counts, this is just my opinion on aesthetics.~~

Not to mention that big "10" I mentioned above wraps around the top tube replacing the pin stripe which is forward pointing and would be visually appealing to the rider while riding.

Also, the top tube color is discontinuous.

Don't get me started on the 2014, cdale knew they did bad with the 2013 that's why they went back tot he 2011/2012 design.

White for sure! I have an all black Felt and though it hides any dirt, sometimes i wish it was white :0
