Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think thats the cost for the handlebar mount. That's about what I paid for one from Amazon.com.

I'm using the low end Garmin etrex. BW monitor. No fancy colors. But very adequate.

My wife bought it for me when my boat was slipped in Marina Del Rey. Deep fogs would roll in very quickly. You were kind of screwed if you didn't have a GPS.

I strapped it to my handel bars with rubber banbs about three weeks ago, just to see what would happen. It worked batter than I expected. The mounting kit came in last week.

I've seen the etrex on sale for as low as $70 at stores like Target. I'm very tempted to get a higher end model

I use an eTrex to plot my ride route.

What software [preferably free] does everyone use to plot their rides?
