Best use of early morning velodrome sessions?
Hi all,
I live about 2km from an outdoor velodrome. I'm trying to build up fitness for some randonneuring events, by doing a couple of hour long velodrome sessions per week (in addition to weekend rides). Just wondering what the best approach is.
I can maintain just under 30kph for the hour - but is it better to alternate faster laps with slower ones?
All advice, pointers for further reading etc gratefully appreciated.

Randonneuring = time on the saddle.
Make sure you're doing the same. Your weekend rides should be as long as you can make 'em.

Track training is great for specificity. Work on speed and aerobic and anaerobic power and anaerobic endurance. Save aerobic endurance for the road
