i've had the exact opposite experience since becoming certified to teach. i've had to tell the school a couple times now that i'm not joining the union and paying dues until they're paying me to teach.

Thanks for the tip, but I doubt that will fly in this household, but I will research it. Wifey is an all-organic fanatic. No herbicides, pesticides, or any other 'ides' unless truly natural. We use mostly compost for fertilizers. I got tired of wrestling with her about it and just go along now.

You can actually get composted cow manure that has less issues in the way of heavy metals, but it comes out of feed lots

It appears likely the powertap will be rebuilt with a psimet 58 clincher, 50f Alchemy ELF, CX Rays. The workhorse of the quiver.

The dried are quite good on their own, though caution is always advised. They mostly all end up that way anyway.

Flagstaff is tough on any set of rims and brakes. I tried out BDop,s Air Brakes for the first time there, and I was impressed.

They're on the Ridley. I had them on the November, but wasn't sure how his carbon brakes would be on the Reynolds rims, Now, it likely doesn't matter, as I think the warranty is void when I went with the CX-Rays. But, I like them a lot.

supposedly wi farms are less feed-loty than in california. we do have mega dairies, but around here, they're mostly pastured. i'm having a hard time finding data for percentages in each state of feedlot vs. pastured cows. i will admit to not looking very hard.
the 7 hour days i thought i'd be working have been 9 hours, (i haven't even asked to leave at 4, because my boss is still trying to make up on paperwork that is behind because he was doing a 2.5 person job by himself for 6 weeks. so, i stay and work through the stacks.) plus a couple hours when i get home of freelance. i'm starting to drop the ball on stuff, mostly the leather work. that sucks. i don't know what i'd do if they also gave me teaching assignments in summer.
i also have to figure out what to do for lunch. i've been eating only once a day when i get home.

Trying to decide if I want to get my can kicked by the 35+, or the Cat 3's. I like Stazio, but I don't know if I feel like spending 35 to get my ass handed to me.
