Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You're a racer, so you get new kits every year?

Worrying about fabric care is incorrect.

Me too. So far I have to replace my bibs about every two years, and jerseys slightly less frequently than that - which basically means I get to keep up with new technology. And am able to treat my kit like actual clothing...

EDIT:>> It occurs to me I may be exaggerating the bib replacement frequency: I just had to throw away a pair of Primal Wear MTB shorts that are probably ten years old, and my older Voler bibs are probably three or four years old. But for the sake of your argument, let's call it a two-year replacement cycle

Cheers

Incorrect.

Promoting Assos wash was the most 'fredelicious' comment of the thread.

That, and he apparently doesn't avoid this "fred fest" too assiduously.
