I am not particularly a fan of it....in fact, I personally find it very uncomfortable. Density and "squishiness" depends on manufacturer I would guess. Generally I would say that for about $10, just try it.

Most common tapes are based on EVA and similar elastic plastics including the ones also containing cork. It is GENERALLY not the presence of EVA, but the grade of it that is used that makes one tape "squishier" than another.
