Billboard bikes
Is it me or are most bikes looking like rolling billboards (including mine)? I'm currently taking apart my bike for a color change and can't make up my mind on a paint design. I'm seriously thinking about one solid color and removing every single logo on the cranks, handlebars, etc. BTW here is a pic of the bike.
I'm really liking nice and subtle bikes like this

It's kind of funny because I have a Cannondale Black Inc that I wish had more of the "Billboard" look but it has grown on me. And I think your bike looks sexy! Here's mine

I think Trek is the worst about plastering "Trek" on every available space on the bike. Some people like the look. Good luck finding a new bike that doesn't have lots of logos.

I always liked the clean look of the Nashbar bikes. Seemed like a nice touch that they didn't need to plaster a logo on it.

I'm with you on the billboard thing.
Here's what I did with the Trek I built up from a craigslist junker:

(sanded it down, spray painted... Hey, I'm on a budget here.)

I like the relative lack of branding on my bike....might remove the wheel labels though. Haven't decided.

I don't think my bike even says what model it is on it anywhere:

Your bike has one specialized logo on the side and that's too much? Hm. It looks pretty sharp to me, but YMMV.
Check out a recent SuperSix if you want to see billboard. Hoo boy!

I agree. My Cannondales are older (95 and 09) and aren't bad. However, some are just horrible (have you looked an upper lever Fuji lately?). The component mfrs. compound this problem by making seat posts, stems, deep dished wheels, etc... just as bad. Then, you add the jerseys / shoes into the mix. Some days I check the mailbox for my endorsement check.... BMX went through this in the 80's and really turned a 180 with the stripped down / plain jane look. Will we? Hard to say, that's a lot of advertising and money exchanging hands.

I had 35 'Orbea' worded logos on my bike, eliminated a dozen of them from the wheels alone, another half dozen will go away when I change the stem and seatpost. Almost all of the remainder are painted on the frame and fork.
