Quick question RE: CAAD 10. Please help
I have an opportunity to buy a 2011 CAAD10 w/ 105 for $700. What do you guys think? Good deal or no good deal?

Yup - that's a deal at the discounted price (assuming it fits and everything is on the 'up and up').

Very good buying at that price.
A mate of mine just picked up a Mickey-Mouse 2011 CAAD10 1 (DA7900) over here for $1500 - I could almost kill him!
You'll love the bike mate.
cheers

don't get pushy, but it's Wednesday night, you agreed to meet Saturday and pay $700, between now and then if he gets a better offer, you may be out my friend. Trust me when I tell you, great deals on CAAD10's don't pop up all the time. I would say do what you have to do to get this bike.

WOW. why are people selling such a nice bike so low. Its not like the bike is in Alaska in December. I'm trying to buy a CAAD 10 to replace my 2.1 Madone which is about to put to me sleep when I ride it. All the team colors are sold out in my size.

what size are you looking for?

Very nice! Brake pads and tires would make a difference. Wheels too, if your budget allows.

More you ride, faster you can wear out the wheels and buy new ones! So no, I'd save your money and just ride it as much as you can until you have to replace them.
Some on BF, cycling gives them pleasure. Then others, upgrading and spending money on their bike gives them pleasure. Which will you be? There is nothing wrong with the R500, they are good wheels. My impression of BF members, the ones who ride the most and enjoy, often aren't the big spenders, they ride steel and alloy rims. Some of the big spenders, ride less than 20 miles a week.
Which will you be?

Ride it first, then determine whether you need to upgrade after that - you may be pleasantly surprised with how it rolls 'as is.'
Congrats on the purchase.

Yeah 700 seems like something is not up to par, unless the seller has no idea how to price a bike to his/her advantage. But you never know maybe the seller is rich and has money to spare.

. I'm meeting him on Saturday.
