Focus Variado 2.0
Very good price, but is it a good deal? What say you, esteemed members?

No major changes have happened in the 105 group in the past 2 years, and $850 is a great price for that. But the factors I'd consider: Those wheels look like they could be junk, and are you 100% sure on the size? It would be hard to test-ride.

Yeah, that is a nice bike. I have the Culebro model, frame is a little nicer and Ultegra group. But yeah I like that bike. Jenson has some '12 Culebro's as well, same price I got mine for.

Looks okay to me for the price. Nothing special, but a pretty solid purchase. Sorry we aren't of more assistance. I've heard decent things about Focus but never ridden one. Best of luck.

While I have no experience with that particular bike, I do own two other Focus bikes, an Izalco and a Mares. Both are great bikes, FWiW. Focus is a solid brand.

I've never ridden a Focus bike, none of the shops in my area stock them. However, if I were shopping for a bike right now I would have no issue getting one of the Focus bikes. I would go for the red one with Ultegra for myself though. If you have funding and know your size, just get it. You may end up swapping out the wheels but many people do that. You will be hard pressed to find any new bike in any bike shop with a 105 group close to that price.

No experience with that model, but I've seen nothing but positive reviews for Focus products generally. I love my Ergoride.
