I have had good luck with several of the brands of frame polish. Pedro's makes some as does Finish Line and a few others. It does a pretty good job of removing all but the most serious of stains and also protects your paint for fading from UVs. It also makes it easier to clean your bike in the future. It's a good investment and a bottle will last you for ages.
Dyes not being fixed is a decent indicator of a less than legit product.

Not to slam Garneau, but I have some custom club bibs that came through their team shop/custom design service last year that which had a deep blue pad that bled during hand washing incredibly. The water would turn a rich blue hue. It didn't stain the sink bowl or anything, and I didn't have any trouble with my white saddle, nor surprisingly, any staining of the white parts of the bibs during washing.
At 1.5years later, the once deep blue pad is now a pale silver blue, but the shorts have held up pretty well (graphics, material wear, construction, are very good, pad a bit thinned) and remain on of my favorites.

They have been very hit or miss. I have the Classico kit, which I love and is fantastic. Also have a few jerseys, which I like as well. Have booties that are nothing special, and didn't last beyond a single winter. Also got their bottom of the line shorts to use as daily workout shorts, and I find PI bottom of the line shorts to be a lot better value and quality for the money.

I have two pair of Assos and a pair of PI. All have black palms. No issues.

Hmm, I wouldn't have thought the pad color was sublimated, but no, it really wasn't a big deal so I did not not contact LG, and left that up to the team manager to do if he thought it an issue. In fact, this year, the bibs have a different pad, a red one with a multi-density, anatomic type pad that does not bleed. I don't know if that was a result of the manager's selections or an internal LG thing, but they have proved to be very good bibs as well.

Many vendors (and I don't know if this is true for LG or not) source their pads from other vendors. If so, it could be something they were unaware of during production and may explain the subsequent change in their current offering. Or not...

An Open Letter from the manufacturers of cycling gloves to the Chaadster.
Dear Chad,
While we appreciate your concern on the dyeing process of our gloves, please understand that the manufacture of our gloves presumes a knowledge of cost benefit analysis and as while assumes our customers understand the idiocy of white bar tape.
Yours truly,
Mr. Big Wig Glove Maker.

I always recommend synthetic leather bar tape when going white, but it does have a weakness, and that's glove stains. Seriously, dirt, grime, grease, it all washes right off, but glove stains always leave a faint mark.

I use Deda tape and it still looks pretty good after 2k miles. I may wash it tonight just to see how clean it will get(and post before and after photos).

What they do manage to do is wash the darn things and not use ****ty tape. How imaginative is that?
Cheap tape is cheap. Real tape lasts and shows the work when you've earned it. #realtapeisreal .

BSY,
Looks like Deda tape; which model, and what did you clean it with?
And while we're talking about cleaning, if it's helpful to those Lizardskins users out there, I did talk to Lizardskins support last year and they told me that isopropyl alcohol is the best stuff to use to clean their tape, followed by using a smidgen of dish soap with warm water and a soft cloth, for deeper cleaning.
The alcohol does seem to work pretty well, though.

Do you really think these mechs wrap fresh bar tap on every bike after very stage? That woul be incorrect.

My wife uses this to clean her white bar tape and white saddle. Her bike is a few years old and still looks new.
