Anyone use the $2 handlebar tape from Hong Kong (Ebay)?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

1pair Bike Cork Handlebar Tape Bicycle Bar Wrap Ribbon with 2 Bar Plugs Hot | eBay

I live in abject poverty so this is all I could afford. As long as it lasts me a year I will be happy.

Can't be any worse and probably the same as the generic profile design or other basic tapes out there. For that price it's definitely worth trying

Bar tape is one of those things I give my LBS money for.

No. Performance normally has their house brand on sale for like $9. probably same generic stuff but direct from source.

I normally opt for SRAM supercork or Planet Bike gel

looks exactly like the $8 I've bought three of off of e-bay. Works great. On both my bikes right now. The third pack is sitting on the shelf as spare.

Same here.
Looks/feels/smells exactly like the Cinelli & Bontrager tape I used to use, but lacks the butt-ugly logos.

I bought a similar one from a china eBay seller. My tape has no adhesive back and is relatively thin. Somewhat disappointed. The $5.99 nashbar tape is much better as a comparison.
