The right frame size?
Dear All
I am very new to the cycling game and I am after some help....
From your experience if I was going to buy a Bianchi road racer what size frame do you recommend if I am 6' 1''?
Many thanks
Danny

First measure your pubic bone height..wrenchscience, colorodocyclist or rivbike dot com sites will discuss that. Please read up on fit as there are many different concepts of "good fit" and the basic concept seems to have changed over the last 30yrs. Fit begins with frame size (that may be specified ctt or center to top or center to center, ctc...these differ by the radius of the top tube), and includes crank arm length, stem length, handlebar width and, you get the picture. Please look up the Harris cyclery site with Sheldon Brown and read up. Even if you go in for a professional fit, be educated. It is worth the time you will invest. You will get many opinions....but good fit boils down to your body and its flexibility and your application. It is an individual thing. I expect that you will wind up with something around 60cm.

You might search the topic. There are a lot of people on this forum that know a LOT more than I do. A little info now beats a lot of pain later. I went through the online fit calculators and discussions on my own and either they worked or I got lucky. Fit is quite an expansive topic.
