Pics of Your Bike at Altitude
With all the "pics of your bike" threads I haven't seen this one yet. Not the highest, but with good pavement it was a nice ride.
And a couple more.

That is seriously the largest saddle bag I've ever seen not mounted to a touring bike.
Nice pics.
Nice pics.

The road was open to all traffic, it was in June. You summit just over 12,000 twice, but the visitor center and sign are below. I started at the entrance on the east side, went over the top and got picked over by Granby, if I recall correctly. It was about a 60 mile ride total.

Almost 12,000 ft? Damn, I didn't realize the passes in North America went so much higher than the European ones.

This is the highest paved road in the state; the mountain goes another 8,000 feet but you need rope, crampons, and an ice axe to get there.

I like the way you guys move your bikes away from the car you drove uphill in, then take the pics, before loading the bike back up and driving down the mountain...

I have pics from the tops of Trailridge and Mt. Evans....but they are actual pictures from years ago. I should scan them at some point!

I'll have to look through my photos. I have a group photo, more than likely with somebody's bike in the picture at 5200 meters, or about the same as the Uturuncu photo posted above. We were in Tibet on a catered tour from Lhasa to KTM, and hit close to that elevation 3 or 4 times.

I rode many of the higher paved roads in CA, CO and AZ on a road trip last year... I had Mt Evans all to myself as the gate was locked at Echo Lake due to landslides up higher due to flooding in the area. It was actually the day after I rode Trail Ridge Road from Grand Lake to just short of Estes Park return; wondering why all the traffic was one way from Estes Park only finding out afterwards that is was the only open road out of town!
Mt Evans
Pikes Peak only a few feet shorter the following day.

Chinook Pass, on Rainier, sits at about 5,500 feet. It was closed to auto traffic so the riding was excellent.
The PCT goes over the wooden bridge.

I can't get the flippin' camera focused quick enough to take a pic after I throw my bike in the air.
But trust me, it's pretty high up.
