Black pick-up trucks are the biggest offenders in our area.
We got smoked by one last weekend (I think it's referred to as "rolling coal"). On Monday, it was reported by a group taking advantage of the holiday, that they were preparing to make a left, had taken the lane and were signaling their turn when a black pick-up passed them at high speed on the left! Scared the crap out of them and put a damper on the rest of the ride.

Rolling coal is a form of conspicuous pollution. Targets of rolling coal often include owners of hybrid vehicles as well as bicyclists and pedestrians.

Hillarious. Same exact thing happened to me yesterday. Pulling up to intersection, honked right behind me because I was going straight and he wanted to turn on red. Needless to say he was looking at a phlegm ornament on that silver hood during his commute. I was ready to throw down but he stayed in the car.
Bigsid was totally in the wrong and a complete french shower container.

Hilarious. I have one neighbor on my street who owns a white Toyota Tacoma and a black Accord and I've had several run ins with him until he finally threatened my life and the police were involved. Haven't seen him since

I have very few run ins with drivers, which is surprising since I live in NJ But, the few times that I have (honking from behind (yesterday), yelling at me, close fly-by), its been a driver of a BMW.... every time. I have never been harassed by the usual suspect, the diesel pick up truck. Sorry for the meaningless post...Just an observation from a former BMW driver and current pickup driver.

In the city I live in, it is generally BMW or Mercedes driven by people who then park them on the street in front of their crappy apartment buildings where they go and share an apartment with their entire extended family. Priorities!

I haven't had any run ins with cars...luckily I live in an area thats really popular for biking running, so most people around here are used to it.

As a driver of both a BMW 740i and a 5.9L Dodge Ram Truck, I take offense at these posts. If you low brow losers can't compete for your lane space, HTFU or get off the road. Talk about entitled !
Seriously, these generalizations about certain vehicles and drivers are silly, and too often slide over into being gender bashing or racist. However, those people, and you know who you are, that drive on the extreme right side of the lane scare the crap out of me. If I was a cop I'd harass the heck out of them, every time.

There was actually an eagle dealership in Asti of all places (up here in northern Ca) that plugged the hell out of that car.

What is with the lack of BMW love. Don't you know how awesome they are and how superior they are around you commoners?
A Day In The Life Of A BMW Driver
The other day I was cruising along as usual coming onto one of my interstates, which was very busy with inferior cars.
First off, I couldn’t believe that the volume of traffic DIDN’T slow down for me AT ALL as I came off the entrance ramp! I had to squeeze into a barely big enough gap between two cars in order to get onto my motorway!
The driver of the car behind me did realise his mistake though and honked an apology to me with a long blast of his horn.
Unbelievably, I had to do the same again before I could get to the BMW lane.
Anyway, once I was in the BMW lane and posing along at 110 mph enjoying the adulation that the inferior car drivers were giving me, I noticed an inferior car ahead of me which was not only in the BMW lane of my motorway, but was driving at a ridiculous 70 mph!
Naturally, I got within a foot or so of his rear bumper and flashed my headlights to remind him he shouldn’t be in the BMW lane of my motorway and to get out of my way.
Of course, once he realised it was a BMW behind him, he did just that, but I could hardly believe it when he pulled straight back out behind me!
He also tried to keep up with me and when he realised I would out-run him, he put on some blue lights in his front grill and urged me to get onto the hard shoulder so that he could congratulate me on my excellent car.
Needless to say, I was eager to oblige and when we had stopped, the man gave me a piece of paper confirming what I already knew – that my car goes fast!
Apparently he wants everyone to know what a superior car I have, so I had to take my drivers licence to a police station to be sent away to have some points put on! (They’re not free points either – they’re £20 each and I was only allowed 3.) But the man at the police station said that because I drive a BMW, it won’t be much longer before I earn the full 12 points, and then I won’t even NEED a driving licence, so they will take it off me!
See, now THAT’S the sort of respect you get when you own and drive a BMW!

You were blocking. Even if the lane is just wide enough for a car to get through (because of hypothetical I-don't-want-to-look-like-a-****** construction), a cyclist at an intersection has the room to move to the left and forward enough for a right-turning car.

I used to drive one. And 2 years ago was hit by one.
