Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bike Forums lost a good man on Saturday

Not sure if it has been mentioned in Road, but ModoVincere, a long time poster on BF died of a heart attack while riding his trainer on Saturday.

His daughter started this thread. https://www.bikeforums.net/foo/983749-my-daddy.html

She is reading responses, so go leave a kind word or thought for his family.

As a cyclist that has been pretty close to death from a cycling wreck, I think dying while riding a stationary trainer has to be the worst way for a cyclist go out.

We all enjoy cycling, but most dread riding the trainer.

Yes he did. His cousin says his dad is having a rough time. I have an address for his dad if anyone wants to send a card, etc. PM me for address.

And thanks for all the replies in the thread in Foo. His family is reading the replies and I have heard that they are helping his daughter.

It sucks that this is how it goes. And yet it does. And so we ride.

RIP modo!
