Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Decals for a Benotto

Anyone have any ideas for how I could go about replacing the decals on my Benotto. It's a 80s silver/black Benotto, I guess the model is "Traithlon"... the frame itself is in near perfect condition but the decals are rotting and scraped up. I read that someone on here pulled the decals off and took them in to be duplicated, but there's no hope of that for these. Anyone know where I might be able to find some NOS decals or replications?

I am also looking for benotto decals for a 1979 model 800. If anyone can help us it would be greatly appreciated.

Bikes: Casati, Look, Torelli, Ridley, and a bunch of steel bikes from the 80s and the 90s..

Why not get it cut on plastic or a similar sticker and spray paint it on the frame and then clear coat it. Thet's how they did it in the 70's and the 80's.

When I restored my 1988 Benotto 800, The old decals were carefully removed and then taken to a local Signs Now franchise store. They made absolutely perfect reproductions on sticky back mylar. They gave me two complete sets for $40. If you're afraid the old ones may fall apart if you try to remove them, take the whole frame into a local sign shop.
