Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Has anybody ever had an ORBEA bicycle of this type?

Good evening,

I can't find any old catalogues of ORBEA on the internet so have no idea which model this is.

Does anyone know anything about it?

Says Orbea Laser right on the top tube. Seems like an 80s? Orbea. Repost in the Classics forum and they might know more.

That looks like it spent too much time in the barn, and not enough time on the road.

It appears to be a mid quality bike. A good restoration project, but won't ever be a top of the line bike. I'm guessing from the late 70's or perhaps very early 80's.

It is interesting that when I type in "Orbea Laser", all the searches return Spanish, so the bike may not have come to the USA... Oh, you're in Paris. That makes sense.
