i know
i was too. It was a funny reference to a controversial thread i had opened last year.
The helmet though, after trying another 3 in the same size should not be like that. The lbs confirmed this and will try to replace under warranty. Seeing how the helmet was like that, it raises suspicion as if the shoes are supposed to be that way. I am mostly doubting the product quality of wiggle. I have no other place to check out bonts as they also need to be molded to verify fit.
As for the roller, ive done the foam one. Im ok with foam. However, this one was lended to me and i'd like to know if anybody has used it and if it's beneficial. This one hurts a lot more!

Use the shoes a while longer to see if they do break in -- use them only for shorter rides to protect against them torturing you for hours on end. If they don't come 'round, given them to someone who can use them. Life is too damned short to use stuff that doesn't fit well.
Like you, I've bought lots of stuff online that I ultimately decided didn't fit right, and giving it away makes a positive out of a negative, at least for me. Plus the thought of selling used shoes is more than I can stand

I'll give them a shot. Put around 200 miles on them. If they dont do it for me when i get close to 1000 miles then i'll just go shopping and get me some good shoes at the lbs. i am actually thinking of buying a pair if the lbs that said may fix my helmet does it without charge. After that, i may give the bonts away.

I've ordered plenty of items from Wiggle, even shoes, without a problem.
I did happen to order some shoes that were to small, I reordered a size up and sold the small ones BNIB locally for nearly what I paid for them.

actually, the toe nail looks like nail fungus. Occurs below the nail, and it will spread to the other toes. prescription lotrimin will fix it. one pill a day for 6 months. It's not athletes foot, but related (I think).

When you say arch support you mean mid-shoe on the inside edge right? Not the bump some insoles have behind the ball of the foot? That would be very different.

I'm pretty sure it's a conspiracy. I think everyone in Europe is selling us defective merchandise as part of a plot to undermine our American way of life and freedoms to pee in the rain.

Kask Vertigo vs Giro Synthe. I have put about 4,000k miles on the Kask the way it sits there. Also when measuring and comparing with the charts my head feel right between medium and large. Nor one or the other.

Either that, or their ears sit relatively higher on their head... I think you are right.

You can't lower the ear opening at thst black clip that is touching you ear lobe? I guess not, but it sure would seem like you could.

Your foot is really flat, the Bont arch is really high. You need to bake that shoe and mold it correctly. The carbon at the sole is thick and stiff. Bake longer so it truly softens prior to any attempt to mold.
Your toes have fungus. When you put on your shoes, scrunch up your toes before doing up the front strap. You want toebox volume.

I have tried to the point of looking online. Kask believes that their magical ratchet system leaves only for adjustment on the chin strap. A nice leather chin strap though!

They have an email contact, bontcycing@bont.com. I would send your pictures with an explanation of the your problem and see what they suggest.

Have you considered ear reduction surgery?

It isn't but the start of every ride is a little painfull. After 10 miles it does not bother me anymore. Today i was upset the first hour. After that i was putting down power and i had more issues with my achilles tendon than anything in my foot. I remember my sworks being bad the first 300 miles or so but ok after a while. These have more space than my s works being one size larger but that arch is killer in comparison.

I'm just surprised your helmet doesn't have more adjustment, unless it is setting too high on the head. Too much Mullet?
I've bought shoes on E-Bay. Not everyone was quite perfect, but I can resell the ones I don't like for about what I have invested in them.
It just seems like you're spending a lot of money for fit-specific items that might be better to buy locally. I'm not convinced they're intentionally "defective", unless you're specifically buying returns or open box items.
If your shoes are in "new condition", they'll be a lot easier to sell than if you grind on them for a few years.... or at last they will command a higher price. Get the size that fits, and research a bit wider (or longer) shoes.
I think both Shimano and Specialized shoes run a little wide. Perhaps others too.

The Bonts are supposed to have a pronounced arch. It is not supposed to be moldable to any significant degree. I do find it amusing how quick you are to suggest it is the retailer's fault while proudly pronouncing that you actually know very little about the product.
