How long can you smash till you break ?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is this trainable ?
Two meters isn't very far. That is about one revolution of the wheel.

ahhhhh units. I'm the guy who objects to seeing things like "KW" on a power statistic.

Not for me. I get that's a log scale on the x axis. The two thresholds are undefined and don't seem quite right. However it seems to me that most sprinters can hold it all-out for about 10 seconds. I used to be able to hold a very hard hill sprint for 45 seconds. The OP implies that he can hold it for 2 minutes. What's the "Lactic Acid System?" Most folks use the terms aerobic system for the so-called fat burning range and the glycolytic system for the glycogen burning range, which of course overlap in various ways. However the Overall Performance line should not be flat from 1 minute on out, not by a long shot.

THE Smashburger story

At Smashburger, we believe that smashing is better. Our handcrafted burgers are smashed, seared and seasoned to order.

Smashburger--mmmm! And in this context, quite funny if you want to build on the bathroom humor.

In this case, the OP would be better off using English units. He will then better see his gains through training. (He currently can sustain 2 meters or ~78". A 10% gain and he will be up to 86". 100" by spring should be attainable.

I have been an out-of-the-saddle climber forever. I have done many long hills on fix gears and certainly have done more than a mile at a stretch. 1 mile = 5280' = 63,360". But I make it a point not to smash anything.

That plot was based on tests done 10 years ago. As the subject started the test, they opened an IV drip of EPO. Hence the flat line for the aerobic effort. (Just joshing, but it's a fun thought!)

"Defecate burgers" probably doesn't sell well

I don't think we're interested in any facts, data, or other nonsense.
