Enquiries on Fuji Sportif 2.3
Thinking of buying a Fuji Sportif 2.3 and not sure if it's a good bike for the value or not. Looking to buy one brand new for around $1,000 AUD. Can someone that has this bike/used this bike let me know if it's good or not?

When you're asking for an opinion on a particular bike it is courteous to provide a link to the exact one you are looking at.
1000 AU is Approx $750 usd. its probably not an option for you but performance has the 2015 for $640 and the 2014 for $520. in this American market $750 is full retail.
This bike will definitely do the job for recreational riding, commuting, or maybe some light touring. It is on the low end of the scale racing/performance wise but the price accurately reflects that. The frame and fork are decent enough for many years of service but the components on it are nearly bottom rung. Im sure they will work for a few years without much hassle but you may want to swap/upgrade components as you go starting with the wheels and shifters.
overall this is a nice beginner bike to test the waters. Fuji makes a good product and the geometery is such as to provide a comfortable ride.it will be on the heavy side for road bikes but it is worlds better than your big box store offerings.
just for comparison, again this is probably not an option for you in Australia, bikes direct sells new bikes (maybe a model year or 2 old) at discounted prices. $799 gets you this. comparable frame, nicer forks, and much nicer components.

Yeah that is not an option for me, I was planning on actually getting a CAAD 8 Claris 8 or a CAAD 8 Sora 7, but apparently the Claris and Sora don't ship to Australia.... So yeah, idk I might just buy off of gumtree. These are the 2 I was looking at:
