Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New bar tape day ...

There may be 50 shades of grey but there are 50 shades of neon green as well.

I found a match to the SPECIALIZED hyper green, i went with Selle Italia lime green.

I saw a video of a bigtime Italian factory mechanic and his secret was to wrap bars twice for factory riders.

I followed that idea, i ride everyday but am tired of the cold.

Come on spring ...

Nice.

Did you start at the top or ends? I personally prefer starting at ends and finish on top.

Wut? You mean there is some other way? Starting at the top is a Communist plot.

At the ends.

The OCD in me wanted to keep the tape in a nice coil as i wrapped but i walked on the wild side and let it all hang out.

Worked out great, the bars in conjunction with the fact 9r carbon should really soak up the road buzz.

I also got new fingerless gloves with heavy gel padding.

Waiting on the weather nao ...

Make mine Hiwatt, but Marshall was good enough for Jimi so I'm sure it's good to go.

Why don't you just make 10 louder and make 10 be the top number and make that a little louder?

When my daughter was little I called her Bumcakes because of that song

Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?

Considering the rest of the song's lyrics, I'm gonna say that's a little weird.

Custom shop Epi Dot, the flame was the first thing that grabbed me, grover tuners & 57 Classic pups, dont need to do anything to that one.

The LP plaintop burst has the best stock Gibson pups ive ever played, not doing anything to that one either.

The cabs are 1978' Marshall [1960 A&B] G12M 25 watt 75hz Blackbacks, absolutely best ive ever played.

My local vintage shop owner has very good tastes and is good to me. [very happy]
