Colnago Master 54cm

$1000, PayPal fee and shipping within CONTUS included.

My guess is this frame model year is from the late 80s, the decals are Master. The straight leg Precisa fork is not indicative of the model year as it was purchased separately. To complicate identifying the model (Master or Master Piu) by features, the top tube cable routing, lug design, and seat tube bosses were available on custom order frames also. The rear stays are chrome plated under the paint.

All of the components are from random model years. The wheels are NOS Scirocco 20, and the brakes are modernish. It has a very smooth 8 speed drive train. The shifters have lever scuffs from another build on a different bike. It will come with new cables and new Connex chain in boxes, and a spare used cassette.

There are no major oxidation problem areas, but there many minor rust spots. I'm trying my best to include the majority of the blemishes, paint chips, and flaws, along with the positive features.

The blemishes on this frame are superficial, they do not effect the special ride quality that comes from the Gilco tube set and Colnago's geometry selection. The bike felt like it drove itself and it tracked stably & predictably when cornering. It is one of the few bikes in my life I could ride no hands.

A previous owner did sloppy paint touch-up work.

The top tube has a small dent that can be felt, but to be seen the light has to from an angle.

The fork steer tube was cut short. Some headset threads are exposed, but there is enough thread purchase to keep secure.
