1980's ish Tandem

Not sure the year on this thing, It has 700c wheels which is why my guess would be the 80's the the mix of parts goes from the 70's into the 90's as I'm sure bits and pieces have been replaced over the years. lots of good stuff here though and the bike seems well enough made. it is 24.5 inch ctt for the Captain and 23.5 ctt for the stoker so built for a tall team. I am not sure what tubing was used to make it as there is no decal and little information about the maker. It has MAFAC tandem cantilevers, with the tandem specific brake levers( one side pulls two cables, I didn't prefer that set up so I rigged the drag brake to a stem shifter.) original hoods are there but crusty. Wheels are sun mistral laced to Phil Wood Hubs. Has the Arai drum brake on one side an a 12-34 7 speed Suntour freewheel on the other. Suntour 7speed accu**** barcons set to friction due to the Shimano rear mech. Sugino AT Cranks gearing is 48-36-24. My Asking price on bike forums is $150 if your picking it up. I Live Northeastern Oregon, Near Tri-cites, WA. I'm definitely open to trades particularly if you had a nice 9-11 speed wheelset kicking around or other similar parts. there is a possibility we could work out delivery to various PAC NW Metro areas.

This is a steal, wheels alone are worth more than the asking for the complete bike. Too bad tandeming seems to be on the outs currently. Andy.

Yeah the thought did go through my mind several times to part it out, but i hate to do it to a functional bike. I will be moving in April so if it doesn't sell but then that that is what will happen to it.
