It is pretty much as the doctor has informed her. There are some small muscle movements she can learn-that help pull the the bladder up-and strengthen it. Some of the medications help a bit, too....

No doubt other posters here-who have back problems will recommend switching over to a recumbant style bicycle. Even if you don't do that, perhaps finding an opportunity to test drive one-might help...
