Don't know what the pressure drop in the cargo hold of a plane is, but I have many times forgotten to deflate the tyres (pumped to around 110 psi) and they have never popped.

I ride a tandem, and the friction is so great when braking going down long downhills that it has previously heated up the spokes so much that the ends of the spokes melt the inner tube causing...

Deflating tyres between rides

Is it true that tyres should be deflated between rides or when not used for a few days? What's the reason for this - does it make the tyres last longer?

When do I replace chain rings

I have a bent large (53T) chain ring, Dura Ace, so need to replace that, and am also going to replace the chain and cassette as well, as these have never been replaced in 3 years (about 12,000 km)....

Assessing age of Cannondale

I have just bought a Cannondale R600 with Shimano RX100 groupset. Seller said it was 2002 frame. It is a bright yellow CAAD3 frame. Does anyone know if this sounds like a 2002 model?

Easy. Airlines usually make you put it in a box. Just remember not to have anything loose in the box (such as saddle - gets shaken about and damages other things). DOn't be tempted to put more stuff...
