Well I went out scrounging and found a really crappy 90's chinesse Schwinn ATB bike. The fork works great, and I cut up the frame for a stool. Thanks for all the info.

Using a fork for a true stand awesome but what about the rear wheel. Will it fit in the fork isnt the rear wheel wider than the fork?

I think im just going to go ahead and order a drop and the trekking bar. I can quickly attatch one without controls and just see what feels better and decide from that point.

Thanks for all the info. I want to try drop bars so I can ride longer distances . I really like the idea of the spacebars, but I will also check out the trekking bar.

Hi. I want to convert my Schwinn World Ave to run a drop bar. Does anyone have any suggestions on brake / shift levers that will work with my current deraillures ( sram X7 ) rear?
